About
Camp Periwinkle
Our signature program for 27 years, Camp Periwinkle has earned the
reputation of being the "Camp of All Camps!" among campers and counselors.
Camp Periwinkle is a week-long summer camp filled with joy for children with
cancer and blood disorders and their siblings from Texas Children's Cancer
Center.
The goal of Camp Periwinkle is to provide a safe, emotionally healing and fantastic adventure that gives every camper the opportunity to grow in independence and self esteem and leave Camp Periwinkle a stronger survivor.
Activities include swimming, horses, archery, arts & crafts, nature, campfires, ropes course, biking, wheel chair basketball, volleyball, baseball, dances and much more. Additional special programming includes the opening day carnival; cooking with chefs from Houston and Austin area restaurants; Glamour Shots; Lake Day; Spa Day and Olympics Day.
Children on therapy can continue treatment at camp. A full medical staff is on duty 24 hours a day.
Camp Periwinkle is currently held at the barrier free Camp For All facility located near Brenham, TX.
Camp Periwinkle is free for all participants.
